by SURVIVOR -is an American band formed in 1977, the members are Jim Peterik and Frankie Sullivan. The band achieved their greatest success in 1980's with their hit songs Eversince the World Began, The Search is Over, Eye of the Tiger and many more.

"The Search is Over" is the band's third top-ten hit single from their 1984 album Vital Signs, following "I Can't Hold Back" and "High on You".
